As we know that, JEE Mains/Adv. exam is considered as the toughest exam of India. This year, the exam was going to held on 5 April but date has been extended. For more details, read the post below.

This year the exam was going to held on 5 April but date has been extended and it would be conducted on April 14, 21, 25, 29 and May 1 and 4, 2022. The NTA has taken this decision because of various reasons including hardships faced by students in filling the online application form for JEE Mains 2022 session 1 and other reason is due to the conflict with the dates of State Boards.

WHAT IS JEE MAINS/ADV. EXAM

JEE Mains/Adv. exam is conducted once in a year and every year by NTA as a entrance exam for the admission in Engineering Colleges, might be private or government. It is also considered as the toughest exam in all over India.

           This exam is held in two steps:- 

  1. JEE Mains.
  2. JEE Advanced.


  1. JEE Mains Exam is first step of Engineering exam. In previous years, it was conducted in month of January, every year and it's result is declared in February. But in recent years, due to COVID-19, the Mains exam is conducted in April-May instead of January. The students who ranks top in this exam gets NIT's according to their rank/marks. The students who pass this exam with minimum criteria, becomes eligible for JEE Adv. exam. 
  2. JEEAdvanced exam is second and last step of Engineering exam. It is was conducted in month of March-April and result is declared in May, but after crisis, it is conducted in June instead of March-April. The students who qualify JEE Adv. gets IIT's and top NIT's according to their rank/marks. 

After this exam, students get admission in Engineering Colleges. 

WHY IT IS CONSIDERED AS THE TOUGHEST EXAM

It is considered as the toughest exam because the questions asked in the exam are from both classes, i.e., 11th and 12th. Although, the syllabus is limited, but the content is very vast. It examines the knowledge and thinking skill and capability of the students.

Regular revision can help you the most.

Focus on numericals instead of theoretical questions.

Do PYQ's of recent years.

Give tests as much as possible on a regular basis.

Make mind maps of every chapter which would helps you in revision and consume less time.
